Had a nice surprise when Joyce stopped by. Joyce literally is one of the first fans of the Opie and Anthony Show when we came to nyc in 1998! She completely took over. Me and Pat Duffy had a blast busting her velvet wearing balls, Great seeing Jen Ferris, Jamie Marie Dee, Will Iommi who just survived COVID, Scott Watson, Steven Vichiconti and the Chilean dude and some new guy who's name I already forgot. Joyce brought up a lot of memories from a time long ago which I believe makes her a "Rainman". I wanted to drop toothpicks on the floor to see if she would come up with the number 246! Was laying around the house thinking about Carl Ruiz who would have been 47. Called my friend Matt who owns Gebhards and told him I needed to have a few beers. We talked about him becoming a father 12 days ago and all the crazy things you see, think and say about it. Also, met a 106 year old woman that was walking by and she told a great joke. We finished the pod by talking about taking acid. Really like this episode. Happy Birthday Carl and congrats Matt!
April 4th would have been Carl's 47 birthday. To celebrate his life here's the time we hung at Guy Fieri's restaurant in Times Square to have a few drinks and a lot of laughs. This was recorded a few months before me and Carl started the Opie Radio podcast from Carl's Creepy Cabin. Today is also the 2 year anniversary of Vic Henley's passing. It's still unimaginable that they are both gone. They both brought so much joy and happiness into my life and not a day goes by that I don't think of them and smile, cry and laugh. I try to go through life with few regrets. I do regret that I didn't podcast a lot more with Carl and Vic. Cheers boys and keep on Ruining which for me means live in the moment.
